Police Details - Booking Information and Pricing

PLEASE READ BELOW FOR DETAIL PRICING, REQUESTS AND MORE

DETAIL PRICING - EFFECTIVE 2022

Monday through Friday:

$55 per hour per Officer or Traffic Control OfficerAll details require a 4 hour minimum, more than 4 hours but less than 8 hours, 8 hours will be charged.

After 8 hours shall be time and a half at $82.50 per hour.

(The Town of Hadley jobs such as DPW, the School Systems, etc shall be $53 per hour per Officer or Traffic Control Officer. There is no 8 hour minimum for town jobs.)

Saturday, Sundays and Holidays:

$82.50 per hour per Officer or Traffic Control Officer : All details require a 4 hour minimum, more than 4 hours but less than 8 hours, 8 hours will be charged.

After 8 hours shall be time and a half at $123.74 per hour.

FEES:

Administrative Fees: Any job that is not under contract with MASS DOT will have a 10% Administrative Fee based off the officers hourly total rate. For Example: Officer Pay $440, the Admin Rate is $44.

Cruiser Fees: Any job that requires a cruiser, requested or not (if deemed necessary for safety reasons, and based upon location), will be charged a $20 per hour rate.

***Should you need to CANCEL a detail, you must do so more then 8 hours prior to the start time of the detail or you will be charged for the minimum of 4 hours detail rate pay.

HOW TO ORDER A DETAIL

ALL DETAIL REQUESTS / CANCELATIONS MUST BE EMAILED TO RECORDS@HADLEYMA.GOV

THIS EMAIL IS MONITORED 8AM-3PM AND CHECKED AGAIN AFTER OFFICE HOURS ON OCCASION. SHOULD YOU HAVE AN EMERGECY  DETAIL AFTER 4PM - CALL DISPATCH 413-584-0883

We commence in assigning details at 3:30pm daily, and would like to have all requested details in to our station prior to 3pm.

After 4pm, EMERGENCY details such as water-main breaks, electrical wires down, etc. will still be filled via dispatch by on-duty staff.

NON-emergency details will be directed to my e-mail Records@hadleyma.gov to be assigned the following work day.

Anyone requesting a detail for a Monday (or a Tuesday on a holiday weekend) must have requested a detail officer by Friday at 3pm.

Please know that the more advanced notice you can give us, the better our chances are to fill the detail.

Please do not leave detail requests on anyone's voicemail, as they may not be aware of them until the next time they are in the office.

E-Mails can be forwarded to appropriate staff in the event I am out of the office and a detail needs to be filled.

For all details, it is your responsibility to ensure that the officer is briefed by you or your designee as to their responsibilities. Please include them, when possible, in any work briefing.

For all road construction work, unless it is unavoidable (such as a hole in the roadway), work crews are not to take lunch with equipment in the roadway.
