Abatements

If you wish to file a real estate abatement application, you will need to download three forms that are below.

1. You will need to review the Abatement Application Procedure Sheet listed in the attachments below. This Sheet details the filing deadline and facts about your assessed value. It also includes information on how to appeal the Assessors decision.
2. You will need to complete and return the Abatement Application.
3. The Assessors are also requesting that you complete the Residential Abatement Questionnaire listed in the attachments below. You do not need to complete the questionnaire to submit the abatement application. However, if your application is submitted without the questionnaire, one will be mailed to you that you will be required to complete in order to appeal the Assessors decision. The Assessors will also delay any action on your application until the questionnaire is returned.
