Department of Public Works Cemetery Division
The Department of Public Works has the primary responsibility for the operations and management of the five Town-owned cemeteries. The Building Maintenance/Cemetery Division sells cemetery lots; excavates burial sites; conducts funerals; works with family, friends, and funeral directors; maintains cemetery grounds; and maintains historical burial records. The Town's five burial grounds are:
Old Hadley Cemetery located on Cemetery Road
North Hadley Cemetery located on River Road
Hockanum Cemetery located on Hockanum Road
Russellville Cemetery located on River Road
Plainville Cemetery located on Mt Warner Road
