PERMITs & PLANS

1. Hadley Fire Dept. has developed detailed permit & inspection application forms. These forms must be used for work to be done in the Town of Hadley. You can find them on our Permits/Inspections page here: Permits & Inspections
2. If your permit, inspection or other item needs plans to be reviewed - full size plans must be mailed or dropped off to the Fire Station on East Street. Failure to include plans along with the correctly filled out permit application AND fee will result in a delay. If you don't know if you need to submit plans, call or email us (413-584-0874, ext. 311 or fireadmin@hadleyma.gov). 
3. Please Note: Every week our offices are receiving permit applications that are incomplete, including but not limited to:

• Submitted on the incorrect permit application form.
• Missing the applicant's signature.
• Missing the address of the property where the work/inspection will be done.
• Missing the required fee or wrong fee amount sent.
• Missing the required plans, drawings or cut sheets.
• Emailing the form(s) instead of mailing them to our office or dropping off at the fire station. No items are to be emailed.

Incorrect, incomplete and missing items from submissions are taking up office hours as we spend extra time to call the applicant or company to have them fix what is wrong or missing; sometimes more than once. This creates an extended timeline to get the inspection or work approved or scheduled. It also takes time away from doing plan reviews and approvals.
