Highway Division
The Hadley Highway Division consists of the Department of Public Works Director, Field Superintendent, Foreman, Administrative Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and Seven Highway Laborers.
You may contact the Hadley Highway Division for the following:
- Permits:
- Driveway Permit - needed for curb cut (any change in layout)
- Trench Permits - needed for cutting into public roadways or
- Open Public Way Permits - needed for work done on side of roadway
- If you are digging in a yard you should contact the Hadley Fire Department for a permit at (413) 584-0874
- Care of Roads (Plowing, sanding, paving, potholes, etc.)
- Tree removal, trimming and care
- Sidewalk repaving and repairs
- Snow plowing
- Storm Water Management
- Mowing town property (Commons, ballfields, etc.)
- Cleaning catch basins
- Connecticut River Dike Maintenance
- Street cleaning/ditch maintenance/drainage problems
- Dead animals in the roadway.
- The Department does not clean up animals from homeowners yards.
- Report street light outages to Eversource
- Residents must report outages to Eversource as the updated process now requires an account number.
- Report tree limbs on wires to Eversource

Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday 7:00-3:00pm. Closed from 12:00-12:30 for lunch with exceptions for emergencies and closed on all holidays.
