Town of Hadley 350th Anniversary Celebration - Planning is Underway!

A Letter from the 350th Committee

In October 2004, the Hadley Board of Selectmen appointed a steering committee to organize and manage the celebration of Hadley's 350th anniversary that will take place in 2009.  Since that date, this committee has been meeting regularly and planning is well underway.  We have a preliminary list of activities in place and we are actively seeking new ideas for programs and events.  We are also looking for people interested in helping make the year truly memorable.  This celebration will be a wonderful opportunity for community residents, clubs, and organizations, and businesses to come together to celebrate the unique heritage that makes Hadley the special community that it is.  Please join us!

The Hadley 350th Committee:  David Moskin, John Vassallo, Mary Thayer, Gerry Devine, Jo-Ann Konieczny, Betty Fydenkevez, Mary Lou Laurenza, David Martula, Marla Miller, MaryAnn Mish, Chip Parsons, Joyce West, and Kristen Styspeck.

Please contact anyone on the committee if you are interested in participating, have ideas, would like to contribute financially, or have some historical info or memorabilia to share with us.

Contribute your family or business historical info and memorabilia!

• We are looking for historical artifacts, documents, photos, and other memorabilia to display and include in programs and publications.  Do you have items you would like to share with us?  For many items we can scan and return them to right away.
