Frequently Asked Questions
How old do I have to be to utilize the Senior Community Center?
Council on Aging programs, services, and activities are open to all Hadley residents 55 years of age and over for exercise, 60 for congregate meals.  Younger Hadley residents are welcome to participate as space allows.  Out-of-town residents are also welcome provided there is sufficient space.

Do I have to become a member of the Senior Center?
No, we are not a club.  The Council on Aging is a Town department working to provide services to all of our residents.

How do I apply to live at Golden Court?
A most frequently asked question!  The Council on Aging does not handle the subsidized housing applications or maintenance of the Golden Court Apartments, but rather we strive to serve the entire 1700+ senior population of Hadley.  The Hadley Housing Authority is responsible for the housing at Golden Court and may be reached by calling 413-584-3868.  Their office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00-12:00.
