HAVE A CONCERN OF MOTORISTS SPEEDING IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD ??

The Hadley Police Department welcomes information of concern where you feel motorists are exceeding the speed limit. Give the Chief a call or leave a voice mail of the location, certain days of the week and times if applicable.

The police department will be out at different time periods enforcing the speed limit and other violations under funding from the Governor's Highway safety Bureau Grant.


PROJECT CHILDSAFE

The Hadley Police Department has entered as a partner with Project Childsafe. This is a nationwide program funded by a grant from the U.S. Justice Department.The program is dedicated to educating firearms owners on proper and safe storage of firearms. If you have a firearms in your home, we will supply you with a lock to keep it safe. At the present time the limit is two locks per household. See Chief Hukowicz to secure your firearms safely.

WHEN IS THE CHIEF OF POLICE IN???

Chief Hukowicz is on duty every day except Thursday and Sunday. His hours are approximately 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
If these hours do not accommodate your needs, he will set up an appointment for you.

HOW DO I GET MY FIREARMS PERMIT RENEWED ?????

To renew, you must see the Chief of Police. It is suggested that you call ahead to insure the Chief will be in when you wish to come. Permits are now one hundred dollars that must be paid at the time of renewal. Photos are taken at the police department at no cost to you. If you are 70 or over the permit is free. Effective September 13, 2004, permits will be issued for six years instead of four.
The time to obtain a permit is approximately one month.


Effective immediately, the cost for a restricted FID for chemical spray for FIRST TIME applicants has been lowered from 100.00 to 25.00. Renewals for this type of permit ONLY continue to be free.
