Frequently
Asked Questions:
Q. How can I find information about what books are in the Hadley Libraries?
A. Most of our books and videos are in the CWMARS catalog. Go to www.cwmars.org and look for items in the Western Massachusetts Regional Catalog. Or come to the library and use the electronic catalog. We are here to help you.
Q. CAN I BORROW BOOKS FROM OTHER LIBRARIES AND PICK THEM UP AT HADLEY?
A. Yes! The library can order books from any library in the state of Massachusetts -- and beyond. Just call us (584-7451) or email us (hadleylibrary@yahoo.com) with your name and phone number and the name of the item you would like. We receive weekly deliveries from our sister libraries.
Q. Does the library need my help?
A. Yes, you can help. At this time, we are seeking volunteers with strong clerical skills to help with detail work. Call or email to arrange for a time when you can help out. Be a volunteer for one hour, one afternoon, or more frequently! We NEED YOU!
Q. Is there a genealogy collection at the library?
A. Yes. We are working to restore, rehouse, and recatalog our rare book collection. This project includes preserving books with coverings or boxes, putting our collection online, and moving the books to a more useful location. This effort is being assisted by volunteers.
