Notice (Street Sweeping)

Town of Hadley residents:

The Town of Hadley Highway Department will begin street sweeping on April 11th, weather permitting. Sweeping will begin at the center of town and proceed to the Sunderland Town Line and roads off Route 47 also, roads off of Rocky Hill Road to Amherst Town Line and throughout North Hadley.

When sweeping sand from edge of lawn into road, please remember to sweep sand into Rows not Piles. When the sand is swept into piles, it is difficult to pick up with the street sweeper.

The Town of Hadley will not pick up lawn/sand sweepings left in the road after May 21st. Sand in the road creates hazards. Any sweepings left in the road after that date will be the liability & responsibility of the home owner to pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.
